Shipping policy
Shipping costs depend on two factors:
- How much your order weighs (all items combined)
- Where the order is being delivered to
For this reason, shipping costs can only be calculated during the checkout process - i.e. once it is clear how much your order will weigh and where it is to be sent. See below for more on this topic.
We have been sending goods by An Post Standard Mail to customers worldwide for over thirty years, and have found it a very reliable mail service. However, tracking numbers are not issued for items sent via Standard Mail. So, if you opt to have your order delivered by Standard Mail, it will not be possible to track the package(s).
If you opt for one of An Post's express services, you will get a tracking number, which will allow you to track your package while it is within Ireland. If your delivery address is outside Ireland, it will not be possible to track your order beyond its progress through the Irish postal system.
All items delivered by courier (DPD) receive their own tracking number. DPD's system allows customers to track their orders both within and outside of Ireland.
(If you do not see a courier option for your delivery address but would prefer to have your order delivered by courier, please contact us before you place your order and we can discuss your options.)
Note: Our courier (DPD) does not deliver to Post Office box addresses.
Import Duties/Fees, VAT
In certain countries/regions outside the European Union (EU) import duties/fees are imposed on goods imported from other countries/regions. In some cases, goods bought online from websites based in other countries/regions are subject to such import duties.
If you buy items from our website and have them delivered to an address outside the EU, local authorities might deem those items to be subject to import duties. To find out if this is the case in your country/region/state/province, you will need to consult the relevant national/regional/local authority.
Customers are liable for any import duties or fees payable on goods ordered from this website.
Although import duties might be an added cost for certain non-EU customers, it should be noted that all non-EU customers enjoy a considerable advantage in that they are not charged Value Added Tax (VAT) on purchases made on this website.

Processing & Delivery Times
When selecting how you would like your order delivered, you will see within the names of the options delivery estimates: '1-2 days', '3-4 working days', etc. These are estimates made by An Post / DPD as to how long it will take them to deliver your order. Those estimates do not include the time it takes us to process your order.
We aim to process all orders received as quickly as possible. Generally, that means placing your order with your chosen carrier by the following working day.
- Orders will not be processed at weekends or on national holidays, as observed in the Republic of Ireland.
- Orders for bespoke items will take significantly longer than orders of items in stock. How long will vary from case-to-case: we will give you an estimate when you contact us.
We will notify you by email when your order has been shipped.
Shipping Rates
The shipping fee you pay depends on two factors:

Therefore, we can only tell you how much the shipping will cost once you have told us what you want and where you want it sent. You will have the opportunity to see the shipping costs before the final step in the checkout process.
Ordering two items, for example, does not automatically double the shipping cost: it often makes no difference at all if you have chosen courier delivery.

Local Delivery / Click-and-Collect
If you live near Westport but are unable to visit our shop in-person, please contact us (by email or by phone 098-25439) and we will do our best to help.
You may also purchase items on the website and choose 'Click & Collect', which means those items will be reserved for you to collect in-store at your convenience. Simply select 'Click & Collect' on the shipping page at the checkout. For items in stock, orders will usually be ready to collect the same day.
Our shop is open Mon-Sat 9.30am-6pm.
